Rolex Cellini Dual Time Review - Cellini Dual Time

Rolex Cellini Dual Time Review

Rolex Cellini Dual Time was launched together with Rolex Cellini Time, and Rolex Cellini Date together at BaselWorld 2014. The new Rolex Cellini Collection in 2014 is a milestone for Rolex as it pushes forward their new segment of the dress watch. It was a complete revamp of their Cellini Prince watch, from rectangular watch face to round 39mm watch. Though different, the watches runs Geneva’s brand DNA with very classic touch and yet able to have the modern look. The challenge Rolex have with Cellini watches today would be they do not have a true identity yet, as they do no have a lot of common features of Rolex Oyster collection. We believe that the 2014 Cellini collection is part of Rolex strategic approach to reenter the dress watch segment.

Cellini Dual Time watch is the watch for frequent travellers, featuring a second time zone in a sub-dial. Take a look at the Rolex Cellini Dual Time intro video.

Rolex Cellini Dual Time is actually the only dual time watch in the Rolex watch family. Although similar to a GMT component, Cellini Dual Time Sub-dial is easier to read at a glance. It does not have the roman numbers like the Cellini Time, just simple markers on the watch dial and the date Sub-dail at the 6 o’clock position. At the Sub-dial there is a am / pm indicator at the 9 o’clock position showing the sun and the moon respectively. The crown is tapered fluted finish that screws down to the case; this gives the watch its’ 50 meter water resistant function. Within it is a self winding 3180 Calibre, COSC certified and of cause, it also comes with the Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring.

These improvements are clearly big jump from the old Cellini collection, and they are distinguished by their charm and balance. The round 39mm watch face together with the readability of the second time zone makes it a perfect size for a dress watch for frequent travellers.
